બાવીસથી ૪૮ વર્ષની ઉંમર સુધી રમતાં તેમણે ૧૯૬૧-’૬૨ અને ૧૯૮૭-’૮૮ વચ્ચે કુલ ૧૨૪ ફર્સ્ટ-ક્લાસ મૅચમાં ૫૮૯ વિકેટ લીધી છે. તેમણે ૧૨ લિસ્ટ-A મૅચમાં ૧૬ વિકેટ પણ ઝડપી છે.
પાંચમા દિવસે રણજી ટ્રોફીની ફાઇનલમાં પહોંચવા મુંબઈને ૩૨૩ રનની અને વિદર્ભને ૭ વિકેટની જરૂર છે. ગઈ સીઝનની આ બન્ને ફાઇનલિસ્ટ ટીમ પાસે સતત બીજી વાર ફાઇનલમાં પહોંચવાની તક રહેશે.
